Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropped by Marseille over fire extinguisher prank

The former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund striker has scored nine Ligue 1 goals this season and has played in the vast majority of the club's Ligue 1 games in 2025/2026, making 29 appearances overall and earning 1,957 minutes of playing time.

However, despite his impact on the side, the Gabonese striker will not be travelling for the match against Le Havre as the Daily Mail reported that his behaviour got out of hand.

The report states that Aubameyang led a group of 10 players in throwing an impromptu party on their fourth night at their base, often referred to as La Commanderie.

This came after the club’s dramatic drop in form, seeing them lose four out of their last six games as they march towards missing out on Champions League football next season.

As excitement grew, the striker sprayed Bob Tahri, who was in charge of enforcing the curfew, with a fire extinguisher, according to L'Equipe.

Several internal witnesses reportedly described the atmosphere as resembling a "summer camp" as per reports, with behaviour stunning many staff members.

Aubameyang has since apologised both to Tahri and to the club hierarchy, but as reported, will miss the club’s next game after such reckless behaviour.
