The first stage of the 2024 MLS season is set to end this week, and fans will get to enjoy all the excitement coming from Decision Day with a top-of-the-line coverage by MLS Season Pass this week
As you might expect, this will not be the usual kind of weekend in MLS, as there will only be two timeslots for teams to play. Both time slots will include seven games, with Eastern Conference teams hosting the initial matches and Western Conference clubs being in charge of home-field duties during the second time slot.
Things in the West are pretty straightforward, as all playoff spots have already been handed out. The only thing left to determine is to see the final spot of all nine teams involved, and that will include fixtures such as Houston vs LA Galaxy, Austin vs Colorado Rapids, and Minnesota vs St. Louis City, where Houston Colorado, and Minnesota could change their current spots in the competition. Additionally, Los Angeles FC vs SJ Earthquakes could be a crucial game to know the name of the Western Conference champions, although Los Angeles need to win their game and see Los Angeles Galaxy losing their clash.
On the other hand, things in the East could still have some big changes. D.C. United and Montreal are clinging to the Wild Card spots, but Philadelphia and Atlanta still have a say in this race. With that in mind, games such as Philadelphia vs Cincinnati, D.C. United vs Charlotte, Montreal vs New York City FC, and Orlando vs Atlanta will be quite a site to follow. Aside from the playoff race, Messi and his fellow Inter Miami teammates will try to set a points record in their clash against New England, which could also be fun to keep track of.
