Christian Eriksen wants to continue playing for the Danish national team, and his goal is to qualify Denmark for the European Championship in 2028, he says in an interview with Viaplay.
"I still feel like a big part of the national team. Of course, you never know which direction or what will happen later. But it is still a goal to qualify for the European Championship in 2028. Definitely."
Eriksen says that he has given some thought to a possible national team stop.
"It may just be your own thoughts that hit you. But at the same time, you go back to the fact that you love playing for Denmark - and if you have the opportunity to play for the national team, you might want to."
"But we'll have to see how we stand later, and I'll also have a chat with national coach Brian Riemer at some point to hear what he thinks", says Eriksen, who further says he is available if Riemer picks him.
Eriksen has played no less than 149 matches for Denmark.
