Bally Sports Southwest

Fox Sports Southwest is an American regional television network operating under Fox Sports Networks (FSN). The channel covers the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and eastern New Mexico.

It was first launched as Home Sports Entertainment (HSE) back in 1983, before having its name changed to Prime Sports Southwest in 1994. Following News Corporation’s acquisition in 1996, the channel underwent a series of rebranding exercises, before settling for the Fox Sports Southwest name in 2008.

The network broadcasts in 480i (SDTV), but runs a high-definition feed in 720p (HDTV). To cater for scheduling conflicts caused by sporting events enfolding at the same time, the channel maintains an overflow feed known as Fox Sports Southwest Plus.

Sports teams that are regularly featured on the network primarily consist of franchises from South Central United States. These include the Texas Rangers (baseball), Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans (both from American football), Dallas Stars (ice hockey), New Orleans Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks (all four being basketball teams).

Fox Sports Southwest is available via satellite through DirecTV on Channel 676 (SD/HD), along with its alternate feed. Different cable TV providers may have the channel included in their lineups as well, however its exact slot may vary based on the location.

Fox Sports Southwest is also available to watch on its official streaming platform Fox Sports GO, which provides live and on-demand content to authenticated users. OTT partners Sling TV and Fubo TV additionally carry live streams of games telecast by Fox Sports Southwest, online and on mobile devices.
