USL Super League and Peacock sign multiyear streaming deal

A new streaming deal has been signed between a new sports league and one of the top streaming platforms in the United States, as Peacock and the USL Super League have struck a partnership set to last for many years.

With the deal, Peacock will become "the Official Home of the USL Super League", which is set to have its inaugural weekend on August 17. The partnership will see Peacock streaming the full schedule of the USL Super League, which will add up to 115 games, considering regular season matches and playoff fixtures.

The multi-year agreement is the centerpiece of an expanded partnership with NBCUniversal that will see additional USL leagues and properties leverage NBC Sports Next's SportsEngine Play streaming service and innovative digital products.

"We are thrilled to partner with NBCUniversal and Peacock to provide a world-class viewing experience for USL Super League fans across the country. NBC Sports and Peacock have raised the bar for soccer coverage in the United States, and their commitment to the USL Super League is a testament to what we are building. It affirms the Super League's integral role in elevating women's soccer and bringing more opportunities for players, coaches, and fans in the women's game," USL Super League president Amanda Vandervort stated.

The first season of the USL Super League will feature eight teams: Brooklyn FC, Carolina Ascent FC, Dallas Trinity FC, DC Power FC, Fort Lauderdale United FC, Lexington SC, Spokane Zephyr FC, and Tampa Bay Sun FC. Like many leagues from all over the world, the USL Super League will go on from fall to summer, with a winter break taking place in December.

The deal will also see NBCUniversal platforms streaming over 1,000 matches live and on-demand every year of the agreement between USL Super League, USL League Two, and USL W League, which have also been included in the agreement.
