TelevisaUnivision shares broadcast plans for opening match in Copa América

June 20, 2024 will mark the beginning of a new edition of CONMEBOL's Copa América held in the United States, and TelevisaUnivisión has prepared comprehensive coverage of the opening game for their fans to enjoy.

The Spanish-language network will put all its resources to good use to cover the anticipated game between Argentina and Canada, which will lift the curtain in the tournament after three years. La Albiceleste gets to the competition as defending champions, while Canada will be making their first appearance in the competition.

Coverage of the tonight's game will begin thirty minutes before kickoff with a special edition of the network's Fútbol Central on Univisión and TUDN, led by José Luis López Salido and analyst Diego Balado. Additionally, the show will include three former footballers: the legendary Javier Zanetti, former Chilean icon Iván Zamorano, and Panama's Blas Pérez, the all-time top scorer for Los Canaleros in the competition. 

The 30-minute edition of Futbol Central will be followed by the game, with López Salido and Balado calling the match. Once Argentina and Canada conclude the dealings on the pitch, TUDN will deliver the proper post-match analysis with a special edition of their marquee show, Línea de Cuatro.

The competition is scheduled to go on until July 14, giving fans a chance to witness the title match at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. All 32 games of the competition will be aired by Univisión, UniMás, and TUDN with detailed previews and post-match analysis. Additionally, all games will be streamed live on TelevisaUnivisión's platform, ViX.
