What are this week's must-watch games?
Critical week awaits Man City as season hangs by the balance ahead of Chelsea, Club Brugge showdowns
Manchester City are gearing up for crucial back-to-back games, hosting Chelsea in the Premier League this Saturday (exclusive on Peacock) before battling Club Brugge in their final game of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Guardiola's men have stabilized the ship in the Premier League, winning three and drawing two of their last five fixtures, and they hope to keep that momentum going when Chelsea visit them. However, all eyes will be on Wednesday's must-win UEFA Champions League tie. Haaland and Co. currently sit outside the playoff spots thanks to their 4-2 defeat at PSG and will be eliminated from Europe if they fail to win. Do not miss this do-or-die showdown.
Napoli vs Juventus live this Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on Paramount+, Fox Deportes, and fuboTV
Another tricky test awaits Serie A leaders Napoli in what will be a tough month, with Antonio Conte's men hosting Juventus this weekend. Lukaku and Co. enter this tie on the back of their priceless 3-2 victory over closest Scudetto rivals Atalanta and face Roma and Lazio in their next two away fixtures. Meanwhile, Juventus are battling to make the top four and currently sit two points outside the final guaranteed UEFA Champions League slot, meaning Motta's side have a lot on the line too.
Fulham vs Man United live this Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on Telemundo, USA Network, and fuboTV
While Manchester United secured a much-needed Europa League victory over Rangers on Thursday, Ruben Amorim's men return to action in the Premier League, where they have struggled. The Red Devils visit Fulham with only one win in their last six games, with that sole victory coming against bottom-of-the-table Southampton. The Cottagers, on the other hand, are 10th in the table and will want revenge against Manchester United after losing 1-0 to Bruno Fernandes and Co. on the opening day.
Barcelona vs Valencia live this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes
Barcelona secured a dramatic 5-4 win at Benfica in the UEFA Champions League during the midweek but the Spanish giants must now turn their spiraling La Liga campaign around. The Blaugrana were runaway leaders at one point but now sit third in the table, seven points behind current leaders Real Madrid after failing to win their last four league outings. Next up are Valenica, who are in a complete mess, sitting second from last after losing half (10) of their 20 matches while winning only three.
ABC and ESPN unveil their plans to cover 2025 NWSL season
Women's soccer in the United States will have a major window to be covered in the 2025 NWSL season, as ABC and ESPN's channels and streaming platforms will bring fans closer than ever to all things related to the top league in the United States.
The 13th season of the NWSL will see ABC and ESPN covering 20 games during the campaign. ABC will increase its live coverage by two games, while ESPN's channels (ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes) join forces to air 24 matches on live television. All those games will also be streamed live by ESPN+ in English and Spanish, and even Disney+ will chip in to cover select matches every month.
Things will kick off on Saturday, March 15, when Kansas City Current lock horns against the Portland Thorns. That clash will be covered live in Spanish by ESPN Deportes, while fans will also be able to enjoy streaming coverage on ESPN+ and Disneý+.
Adding depth to the competition's coverage, ABC will make sure to cover three postseason games, starting with a double-header during the quarterfinals, and a semifinal clash on November 9.

Feyenoord stun toothless Bayern in Champions League
A double from Mexico striker Santiago Gimenez and a valiant defensive effort handed Dutch side Feyenoord a shock 3-0 Champions League win over Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The surprise defeat means that Bayern, six-time champions of Europe, will more than likely face a play-off match to advance into the last-16 of the new-look Champions League.
On a rain-swept night in Rotterdam, Feyenoord belied their poor recent domestic form, holding firm at the back and hitting their illustrious opponents with rapid counter-attacks.
Bayern dominated possession in a cagey opening quarter as both sides struggled with driving rain and a slippery surface. Read more…
Bayern's Davies ruled out 'for time being' with hamstring tear
Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies is set for a stint on the sidelines after he was diagnosed with a torn muscle, the German club said in a statement on Thursday.
Davies, 24, was subbed out in first-half stoppage time in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to Feyenoord.
Bayern said scans confirmed the Canada international "sustained a muscle strain in his left hamstring" and "would be absent for the the time being".
The club did not indicate how long Davies will miss but he will be in doubt for the trip to defending champions Bayer Leverkusen on February 15.
Davies could also miss Bayern's Champions League playoffs in February, should the German giants fail to qualify for the top eight. Read more...
Guardiola concedes Man City 'could not cope' with PSG as European hopes flicker
Pep Guardiola admitted his Manchester City side "could not cope" with Paris Saint-Germain after throwing away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 to the French side on Wednesday, leaving their Champions League hopes on the brink.
"They were better. We have to accept it, We have the last chance at home against Bruges. We will do everything there and if we don't it is because we don't deserve it," Guardiola told reporters after the match at the Parc des Princes.
"They were better, we have to accept it. It's sport and it is like that."
City had taken control as Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland both scored early in the second half for the visitors.
However, Ousmane Dembele pulled one back and Bradley Barcola equalized on the hour mark for PSG, who then went in front through a Joao Neves header on 78 minutes and wrapped up the win in stoppage time when Goncalo Ramos got their fourth goal. Read more…
Germany coach Nagelsmann extends contract until Euro 2028
Julian Nagelsmann has signed a contract extension to remain Germany coach until the end of Euro 2028, the German FA (DFB) announced Friday.
Nagelsmann said his experience at Euro 2024, hosted by Germany, convinced him to stay on for both the 2026 World Cup and the Euros two years later.
"We are on the right path and it is not over yet. We want to continue to develop. We want to win titles," the 37-year-old said in a statement.
Nagelsmann signed the extension in Leipzig on Friday as part of the DFB's 125-year anniversary celebrations.
The former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig coach took over in 2023, initially on a short-term basis for Euro 2024. Read more…
Arteta doubles down on need for Arsenal striker
Mikel Arteta reiterated Friday that Arsenal are actively looking to sign a striker, admitting they "lack options" as the clock ticks down towards the end of the January transfer window.
Serious injuries to forwards Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka have added to concerns over Arsenal's lack of goalscoring threat as they try to chase down Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The Gunners are the only club in the Premier League's top six without a goalscorer in double figures -- Kai Havertz has eight in the English top flight this season.
Arsenal manager Arteta was asked about the need for reinforcements ahead of his side's trip to struggling Wolves on Saturday.
"We lost two very, very important players, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus so we lack goals, we lack people, we lack options in the front line. It's clear," he said. Read more…
Man Utd should never get used to losing, says Fernandes
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes said the club's fans should not lower their expectations despite the Red Devils struggles this season, particularly at Old Trafford.
Fernandes rescued his side with a stoppage-time winner to beat an under-strength Rangers 2-1 on Thursday and close in on direct passage to the Europa League last 16.
United had lost four of their previous five home games, which prompted manager Ruben Amorim to declare his side "the worst" in the club's storied history.
"At this club, you need to win every game, you know that if you don't win games here it is going to be difficult, there are going to be tough moments," Fernandes told TNT Sports. Read more…

Brazilian star Neymar is in discussions about leaving his Saudi club Al-Hilal but his financial demands are holding up an agreement, a club source told AFP on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward has had an injury-plagued stay in Saudi Arabia, playing just seven times despite a reported salary of around $104 million a year.

Amorim takes responsibility for crisis at 'nervous' Man Utd
Ruben Amorim on Wednesday sought to clarify his bombshell statement that his Manchester United side are "the worst team" in the club's history, with the manager accepting a share of responsibility for the crisis at Old Trafford.
United's 3-1 defeat against Brighton on Sunday was the sixth loss in their past nine Premier League games under Amorim, who arrived in November to replace the sacked Erik ten Hag.
The club, languishing in 13th place in the Premier League table, faced Scottish giants Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday, a competition in which they are well-positioned to qualify for the knockout stages.
Former Sporting Lisbon boss Amorim, 39, addressed his post-Brighton comments during a pre-match press conference on Wednesday. Read more…
Pochettino happy after 'amazing' USA beat Costa Rica
Mauricio Pochettino said he has been handed a welcome selection headache after watching his youthful United States squad wrap up their January training camp with a 3-0 victory over Costa Rica in Florida on Wednesday.
Goals from Major League Soccer-based players Brian White, Caden Clark, and Patrick Agyemang completed a confident win for Pochettino's side at the Inter & Co Stadium in Orlando.
Wednesday's game was the second of two back-to-back friendlies for the US following their 3-1 win over Venezuela on Saturday.
With the games falling outside of the official FIFA window for international fixtures, Pochettino used the friendlies to run the rule over the US talent pool, with most of his Europe-based players unavailable for selection. Read more…
