Fixtures, Preview and TV Schedules for all Bundesliga matches on April 26-28, 2024

The race to win the 2023-24 Bundesliga season is over, as Bayer Leverkusen have started their reign as champions for the first time in history. Nonetheless, there is still much to decide in the final weeks of action, including European competition spots and the names of the teams that will get the drop to the 2. Bundesliga.

The unbeaten champions suffered quite a scare last week, as their flawless run was close to ending in their game against Borussia Dortmund. Those two points Dortmund dropped could have a negative effect on how their season ends, giving Stuttgart, Bayern, and RB Leipzig a bigger chance to secure their spot in next year's Champions League.

Bayern are now three points clear to secure the second place in the league following their win and Stuttgart's loss, but things could get even more interesting if RB Leipzig claim a win this week and Stuttgart lose one more game.

When it comes to the lower half of the table, Bochum and Mainz are level in points, but there is one more team involved in the relegation battle, as Union Berlin are two points clear from the drop zone. Köln and Darmstadt may have to plan for next season as 2. Bundesliga teams, with the latter only one point away from being officially relegated.

Without further ado, here's what to keep in mind ahead of this weekend's matches.

[TABLE 7]

Top games to watch

Bayern vs Eintracht Frankfurt - The Bavarians make it to this game with one eye on the second place of the German top-tier and the other one waiting for Real Madrid's visit. It is yet to be seen how Thomas Tuchel plans for this game, but not many changes can be expected to his stellar lineup given that they have not secured the runner-up spot. On the other hand, Eintracht Frankfurt are closer to securing a spot in European tournaments next season, and a win here would do wonders for their cause. Eintracht Frankfurt slammed Bayern with a 5-1 score back in December, which may be enough reason for Die Roten to seek revenge here ahead of their UCL match.

RB Leipzig vs Borussia Dortmund - A crucial game for both teams with a spot in the Champions League up for grabs. As things stand, Leipzig have the upper hand with a two-point lead over Dortmund, who also have to worry about their UCL match against PSG on Wednesday. Recent games between these teams show RB Leipzig getting the most out of their matches against the Black and Yellow, with five wins in their last six games, including a 3-2 win on the road back in December. Will Dortmund save their best weapons for their midweek game, or will they go all in trying to secure their spot in next year's UCL here?

[MATCH 4694209]

Bayer Leverkusen vs Stuttgart - Xabi Alonso's team will try to keep their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga when they welcome Stuttgart, one of the most consistent teams in this Bundesliga season. Their last two league games have ended in similar 1-1 draws, although their most recent clash concluded with a 3-2 win for Bayer in the DFB-Pokal. Die Schwaben have more to lose here since they could see their 4-point lead over RB Leipzig for fourth place reduced to one, which may mean they will want to play it safe against the record-setting team led by the former Real Madrid midfielder.
