FC Copenhagen 2-1 OB
The home side began the match with all the confidence of a team that has won three successive matches. They could have taken the lead already after ten minutes when Icelandic youngster Viktor Dadason found himself face to face with Viljar Myhra, but the Norwegian keeper saved his weak attempt.
However, eight minutes later, FC Copenhagen got the lead they deserved when Mads Emil Madsen found the net with a terrific curling finish from the edge of the box.
The hosts then came close to doubling the lead when Swedish striker Jordan Larsson hit the post after 24 minutes, but Larsson proved more clinical three minutes from the interval when he ran on to a long delivery and, despite being heavily challenged by an OB defender, managed to squeeze the ball home with a shot across goal.
In the second half, the visitors settled more into their game as FC Copenhagen struggled to maintain the same kind of dominance as in the first half. OB brought the excitement back into the game when Marcus McCoy launched a mazy run on the left wing to set up the onrushing William Martin, who had no trouble reducing the deficit.
OB pressed on for the equalizer, but FC Copenhagen held firm for their fourth successive win.
Vejle 1-2 Silkeborg
Vejle desperately needed a win at home against Silkeborg to keep up their hopes of staying clear of relegation from the Danish Superliga. Both sides struggled to get their game going in the first half, where a poor pitch probably also could take some blame for both sides' failure to create clear-cut chances.
At the beginning of the second half, the game was still dominated by a high number of mistakes in the build-up from both sides, but the visitors still managed to take the lead with twenty minutes to go when Callum McCowatt drove the ball forward in midfield and launched a stinging drive from the edge of the box that Vejle keeper Igor Vekic failed to get a hand to.
But just three minutes later, Wahid Faghir rose high to head home a delivery from Christian Sorensen to restore parity. Vejle went searching for the winner, but they were punished at the back in the final minute when Lasse Nielsen was sent off for his second bookable offence for stepping on McCowatt in the box, and Tonni Adamsen converted the penalty to break the Vejle hearts.
