Khephren Thuram on radar of Premier League clubs ahead of summer window

Thuram has been an important player for Juventus in recent months and the club would love to keep him, but there is a feeling his situation may open up.

Much will depend on whether they secure Champions League football - and failure to do so would increase the chances of a sale, as the club continue to remain cautious around Financial Fair Play rules.

There is already interest forming in the Premier League as Manchester United, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham are among the clubs to have monitored Thuram over the past year, and all are in the market for new midfield options this summer.

Juventus sources suggest that while a sale could become possible, as a key figure is likely to be sold in the summer, Thuram would not come at a budget price. He is under contract until 2029, meaning the club hold a strong negotiating position.

Any negotiation is expected to start at around €40 million, with the final figure potentially influenced by how Juventus finish the season.

Ideally, Juve would love to end this campaign on a strong note and then commit to keeping Thuram on an improved contract, so the final weeks of the season are important.

He was among the scorers in the weekend’s 2-0 win over Bologna, with Juventus now sitting fourth in Serie A.

There is the possibility that finishing the season well could transform how Juventus look towards the summer window even further - as they are one of the sides who have interest in Bernardo Silva, who is to become a free agent.

Attention now turns to a crucial fixture against second-placed AC Milan on Sunday, as the result could have a significant bearing on Juventus’ European hopes... and the future look of their midfield.
