Dutch clubs spent 66 million on agent fees in 24/25, Ajax lead with third of total

Ajax spent a total of €21,411,506 on agent fees during the 2024/25 season, nearly a third of the €66,966,491 (taxes excluded) spent by clubs in the Dutch Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie. 

Ajax completed 23 transfers during the 2024/25 season, including 9 sales totalling €69,24 million. 

PSV (€13,854,606) and Feyenoord (€13,745,000) follow Ajax, with AZ (€5,396,684) and Heerenveen (€2,060,000) the only other clubs in the Netherlands to spend at least €1.4 million on agent fees.

In the second tier, Willem II and Almere City, both of which were playing in the Eredivisie in 24/25, lead the league in agent fees. Excelsior led the league with €469,414, nearly doubling second-placed Cambuur Leeuwarden (€245,549).

Telstar won promotion to the Eredivisie via the play-offs after spending the third-least on agent fees in the Eerste Divisie, totalling €47,510.

Following FIFA's introduction of the FIFA Football Agent Regulations (FFAR), the KNVB has maintained a register of football agents registered with the FA since October 1st, 2023. Clubs are required to disclose the fees paid to agents, after which the KNVB publish these numbers.
