Djurgarden 6-0 Goteborg
It had been a frustrating couple of weeks for Djurgarden, who were on the end of a pair of narrow defeats before being held in the derby by Hammarby despite being on top for long periods. They took that frustration out on an IFK Goteborg side still without a victory.
The game was a quarter of an hour old when Jeppe Okkels turned expertly inside the area to open up the shooting angle and applying the finish, and another 15 minutes went by before Patric Aslund doubled the advantage. Fresh from a goal a week ago, Kristian Lien continued his good form three minutes later, guiding a header into the bottom corner from Piotr Johansson's cross.
It took until just after the hour mark for the Iron Stoves to score their fourth - Bo Hegland notched his second assist of the game with a marvellous run before sliding the ball across for Aslund to drill in his second at the near post.
Joel Asoro took over in the final 10 minutes, shrugging off the last defender before slotting home number five, and he completed the rout in the 90th minute, as Hegland dug out a cross from the left and Asoro nodded in to ensure his teammate made it a hat-trick of assists.
Djurgarden are up to 10 points, six off leaders Sirius, while Goteborg are 15th of 16 with just three points, and surely pressure is mounting on manager Stefan Billborn.
Halmstad 1-3 Brommapojkarna
For all Goteborg's woes, they are at least above basement-dwellers Halmstad, who remain on just two points from six games thanks to defeat to Brommapojkarna, who won a second away match in succession.
It took almost an hour for the first goal to arrive, and it was Sion Oppong who got it for BP, cutting in from the left wing and his low shot from the edge of the area was helped in by a deflection.
A little over 10 minutes later, Mads Hansen ensured of the points for the visitors by setting up Kaare Barslund to make it 2-0, and then Hansen himself added a third eight minutes from time.
It was good for BP that Hansen made a positive impact when he did, because he was sent off in added time for a second bookable offence, two minutes after a Leo Cavallius own goal gave Halmstad a consolation, neither of which had an impact on the Bromma Boys' second win in three.
