Djurgarden 3-2 Kalmar
A positive start and a strong finish ensured Djurgarden maintained their 100% record to start the season, but that didn't tell the full story of their narrow win over newly-promoted Kalmar, who have begun life back in the top flight with successive defeats.
The Stockholm side were in front inside two minutes, when Mikael Marques produced a burst of speed down the right wing before his low cross was swept into the bottom corner by Bo Hegland.
Five minutes later, it was 2-0 - Oskar Fallenius opened up the visiting defence, but when his stabbed shot was kept out by Jakob Kindberg, Kristian Lien was on hand to tuck away the rebound.
But before the 30-minute mark, Kalmar had drawn themselves level. First, Robert Gojani's ball over the top was taken down and finished well by teenager Charlie Rosenqvist for his first Allsvenskan goal. Then, Melker Hallberg crossed a half-cleared corner back into the box, and was headed in by Achraf Dari.
Kindberg pulled off a string of saves in the second half to preserve a point, but Djurgarden finally found a way through with five minutes remaining, when Matias Saltinen crossed from the right and Lien headed home, despite a suspicion of offside.
The Norwegian missed the chance to score a hat-trick when his penalty struck the base of the post in added time, but the Iron Stoves had done enough to go top of the table for the time being.
Malmo 3-1 GAIS
An impressive first-half display secured Malmo their first points of the season, as GAIS remain on no points. The opener came 21 minutes in, when Jens Stryger Larsen whipped in a cross which was met by a bullet Pontus Jansson header which thundered in off the crossbar.
It was 2-0 just over 15 minutes later, when GAIS goalkeeper Kees Sims played a dreadful clearance straight to Oscar Sjostrand, who coolly rolled the ball through the 'keepers legs.
The MFF fans needed only wait another five minutes for number three, as Sims didn't cover himself in glory again, flapping at a Taha Ali cross, causing a melee in the box before Otto Rosengren bundled the ball over the line.
Shalom Ekong added a late consolation for the Mackerels when slamming the ball past Robin Olsen after picking up a William Milovanovic through ball, but Malmo had done more than enough to earn a first league win under Miguel Angel Ramirez.
Halmstad 0-3 Degerfors
Degerfors began the season with a 3-0 home defeat, but have responded perfectly by inflicting the same result on their travels to Halmstad, one of five teams yet to pick up a point.
Conceding with a minute of the first half remaining was a bitter blow for Halmstad, especially given the manner of the goal - they failed to clear a corner, and among the scramble, Daniel Sundgren caught a sweet volley that gave goalkeeper Tim Ronning no chance.
The lead was doubled just over 10 minutes into the second half, as Sebastian Ohlsson let the ball drop over his shoulder and sent another volley into the net, but Ronning in the home side's goal should have done a lot better with that one.
And the rout was completed three minutes into added time, when Nahom Girmai's low centre was turned in at the back post by Marcus Rafferty.
