What are this week's must-watch games?

Italy vs France live this Sunday at 2:45 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 2, ViX, and fuboTV

The standout game of the weekend will see Italy and France face off in a fixture that will decide the Group A2 standings. While both sides are through to the quarterfinal, neither have claimed the top spot heading into the final round. The Azzurri hold the advantage after beating Belgium 1-0 on Thursday, sitting three points ahead of Les Bleus and needing a draw or more to win the group. France, who were held to a goalless draw by Israel that same day, must beat their rivals by a big enough margin to undo the 3-1 loss they suffered in their previous encounter — superior goal difference will be the tiebreaker should the visitors triumph.

Croatia vs Portugal live this Monday at 2:45 p.m. ET on fuboTV, ViX, and Fox Sports 2

From one exciting showdown to another, Portugal gear up for a visit to Croatia in Group A1's penultimate round. Cristiano and Co. sit three points ahead of the hosts with two games left and will secure the top spot with a win. Croatia not only need a victory but they must also triumph by two or more goals to overturn the 2-1 deficit from when they last faced Portugal. Can the 2018 FIFA World Cup runners-up pull this off? Tune in to find out.

Brazil vs Uruguay live this Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. ET on Universo and ViX

CONMEBOL's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying round intensifies during the November international break, with two South American powerhouses — Brazil and Uruguay — set to face off next week. The Selecao enter this clash on the back of their disappointing 1-1 draw with Venezuela while for Uruguay, this fixture comes straight after their Friday clash with Colombia. The Selecao have momentarily leapfrogged La Celeste in the standings, claiming the third spot. However, Marcelo Bielsa's side will have the opportunity to return to the top three and put some distance between themselves and Brazil over the next few days. Do not miss this clash.

Univisión, TUDN, and ViX share coverage plans for UEFA Nations League matches

TelevisaUnivisión and its premier broadcasting and streaming services, led by Univisión, TUDN, and ViX, will have something for all fans to watch this week, even if the international break has taken over and there will be a pause for club soccer.

The Spanish-language network is about to embark into a week with many games to watch, including UEFA Nations League games, the South American World Cup qualifiers, and the knockout stages of the Concacaf Nations League, where some of the finest teams in the region fight for the top gong.

European teams such as England, Turkey, Wales, and Belgium will have their UEFA Nations League fixtures covered by TUDN USA, but the action will not stop there as ViX will cover the full set of games in that tournament, where Portugal, Italy, and UEFA Euro winners Spain will be among those covered in style by the platform.

To top it all, the company's channels and streaming platform will offer comprehensive coverage of Mexico's international matches against Honduras. The first one will take place on Friday in Central America, while the other one is set to be played in Toluca, Mexico.

Draw for inaugural FIFA Club World Cup set for December 5

The world's best football clubs will discover their group stage opponents for the inaugural 32-club FIFA Club World Cup at the draw on December 5 in Miami.

The date was highly anticipated as many questions still surround this competition, whose revenues and benefits for the clubs remain a mystery -- its TV broadcasters are not yet known and only one sponsor has been announced: Chinese electronics manufacturer Hisense.

The draw will kick off at 1800 GMT to determine the eight groups of four teams who will compete in the tournament in the United States from June 15 to July 13.

The 16 clubs finishing in the top two places in each group will qualify for the knockout phase, from the round of 16 to the final, without a match for third place. Read more…

Pepi gives Pochettino win for USA in Jamaica

A fifth-minute goal from Ricardo Pepi gave Mauricio Pochettino's United States a 1-0 win over Jamaica in their CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final, first-leg on Thursday.

Jamaica will rue a Demarai Gray penalty which was superbly saved by American keeper Matt Turner and a late red card for defender Mason Holgate but they remain in with a chance in Monday's return leg in St. Louis.

Argentine Pochettino now has two wins from his opening three games in charge of the USA after being brought in to the lead the team to the 2026 World Cup which they will co-host with Canada and Mexico.

Those hoping to see the former Tottenham Hotspur manager transform the tactical approach of the American side would have found little indication of change in what was a scrappy game on a tricky field at the National Stadium. Read more…

Vinicius misses penalty as Brazil held in Venezuela

Brazil were held to a 1-1 draw at Venezuela with Vinicius Junior missing a penalty in their CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

The points were shared after a superb Raphinha free-kick was cancelled out by a second half strike from Telasco Segovia.

The result leaves the five-time World Cup winners in third place on 17 points -- the top six South American teams qualify automatically for the 2026 World Cup.

Brazil had struggled for form early in their campaign but showed signs of their old swagger returning as they took the game to Venezuela at the Monumental Stadium. Read more…

UEFA launches investigation into Premier League referee Coote

UEFA has appointed an ethics and disciplinary inspector to investigate Premier League referee David Coote after a video emerged of him allegedly snorting a white powder during Euro 2024.

It comes after English referees body PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited) said it was taking fresh allegations about Coote "very seriously".

The 42-year-old was suspended by the PGMOL on Monday after different video footage was posted on social media appearing to show him making disparaging remarks about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

Coote's comments about the German are also being investigated by the Football Association. Read more…

Kane disappointed by England Nations League withdrawals

Harry Kane says he is disappointed by the high number of withdrawals from the England squad this week, insisting the national team must come first.

The Euro 2024 runners-up head to Greece for Thursday's must-win Nations League match before a Wembley meeting with Ireland on Sunday.

But interim boss Lee Carsley's final camp, before the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as the new manager, has been hit by an eye-watering eight pull-outs.

The situation has frustrated Kane, who will lead the side out at the Olympic Stadium in Athens knowing key players are absent for a match they must win to stand a chance of automatic promotion. Read more…

Canadian women's coach, two aides out after drone scandal

Canadian women's national team football coach Bev Priestman and two assistants suspended by FIFA over a drone scandal at the Paris Olympics will not be returning, Canada Soccer announced Tuesday.

A report released Tuesday by Canada Soccer detailed findings of an investigation into the using of drones to illegally film New Zealand practices at the Paris Olympics.

The report found Priestman and assistant coach Jasmine Mander "directed, approved and condoned the actions taken by" assistant coach Joey Lombardi to fly a drone over closed New Zealand practices ahead of Canada's first match, a 2-1 victory over New Zealand.

The three Canadian coaches were sent home and banned for a year by FIFA, and a Canada Soccer statement Tuesday said the trio had effectively been fired. Read more…
