That clause became mandatory if Roma qualified for either the Champions League or Europa League, a condition that has now been fulfilled.
AS Roma currently sit fifth on 67 points, level with fourth-placed Milan, while Como trail by two points with only two games remaining.
Malen has made a huge impact since arriving at the Olimpico, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in just 16 Serie A appearances, quickly becoming one of Roma’s most important attacking players.
