Preview: Lazio vs AC Milan

Currently four points behind Juventus due to a frustrating loss to Atalanta, Lazio will still be hoping to keep the Bianconeri in their sights when they welcome AC Milan to the Stadio Olimpico in Saturday's later match. By the time Simone Inzaghi's men take to the pitch agianst the Diavolo, however, the Aquile could be as much as seven points behind. Furthermore, they will have to take on the Rossoneri without several key players, namely top scorer Ciro Immobile due to suspension.

To complicate matters, Immobile's back-up, Felipe Caciedo, is also banned for this game. Injuries have hit the squad hard, with Lucas Leiva, Luiz Felipe, Senad Lulic, and youngster Bobby Adekanye all still on the treatment table, which further limits Inzaghi in his selection options for his starting XI.

Lazio come into this game having beaten Torino and Fiorentina 2-1 following their 3-2 loss to Atalanta. Their upcoming opponents Milan, meanwhile, will be looking to get back to winning ways following a frustrating 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened SPAL. Stefano Pioli's men are making a late push for a Europa League spot following their Coppa Italia elimination at the hands of Juventus and prior to dropping points against stubborn SPAL, had picked up wins over Lecce, and more significant, Lazio's cross-town rivals Roma.

Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has now recovered from a calf injury but isn't expected to start this game, albeit the Swede could get involved from the bench as Pioli will certainly want to take advantage of Lazio's massive absences due to suspension and injury.
