Cincinnati are already through to the playoffs but it remains unclear whether they will finish second or third in the East. The Orange and Blue are level on points with third-placed Columbus Crew (56) but are ahead thanks to the tiebreaker, with the next two matches likely to decide their fate. Chris Albright's men face LAFC first this weekend, with the Los Angeles giants having recently won the US Open Cup. That final went to extra time, meaning Cincinnati should have an advantage. After that comes a visit to New York City, and depending on Saturday's Hudson River Derby result, FC Cincy could face a hurting side eager to bounce back.

Inter Miami have secured their ticket to the MLS Cup playoffs, are all but certain to top the Eastern Conference table, and are the favorites to win the Supporters' Shield. However, the Herons could set an MLS record for most points in a regular season, which currently stands at 73. Lionel Messi and Co. need 10 points from the remaining 12 to achieve this but will need to quickly return to form. The visitors have failed to win their last two matches but this game comes after their clash with Charlotte. Additionally, Columbus Crew are the team that eliminated Messi and Co. from the Leagues Cup in mid-August. The Crew recently lost the Campeones Cup to Club America and will want to recover immediately.
