Sacked Flamengo boss Felipe Luis reportedly in running for Chelsea job

The 40-year-old had a remarkable year-and-a-half at Flamengo, winning the league and the Copa Libertadores during his spell.

Felipe Luis was then shockingly sacked following their 8-0 win over Madureira RJ after reports came out saying he had been interviewed by BlueCo.

It’s understood that Felipe Luis initially thought he was in talks to replace Enzo Maresca, only to later find out it was for the Strasbourg job. He then pulled out of the talks.

According to The Mirror, Felipe Luis, who spent a season at Chelsea as a player, is now in contention to take over.

Chelsea are looking at several options at the moment; however, with Cesc Fabregas, Andoni Iraola, and Marco Silva, among others, all linked.
