Raheem Sterling 'set to leave' Feyenoord after unimpressive four months

Raheem Sterling, 31, joined Feyenoord on a short-term deal in February after being released by Chelsea. In 333 minutes and four starts, Sterling failed to score and gave just one assist, while struggling to live up to the hype or reach his old level.

Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reported on Tuesday that Sterling's time in Rotterdam will be limited to just four months. The Englishman, who was left on the bench during Feyenoord's 2-2 draw against NEC Nijmegen, is set to leave the club again after failing to impress.

Robin van Persie's Feyenoord are currently fighting for a second-place finish, which would qualify the club for the League Phase of next season's UEFA Champions League. In Sterling's last four games in red and white, Feyenoord will face FC Groningen, Fortuna Sittard, AZ, and PEC Zwolle as they defend a 1-point lead over losing KNVB Beker finalists NEC Nijmegen.
