The 42-year-old tactician had come under heavy criticism following the Elephants’ disappointing campaign at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they were eliminated by Egypt in the quarter-finals.
However, Fae has since restored confidence with impressive results during the March international window. Ivory Coast delivered a dominant 4-0 victory over South Korea in Milton Keynes before edging Scotland 1-0 in Liverpool.
Diallo has reaffirmed his belief in the former Nantes and Nice midfielder who led the West Africans to the 2023 AFCON triumph, backing him to lead the three-time African champions on the global stage.
He stressed that the federation will provide the necessary resources and support to help the team compete strongly at the World Cup, set to be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.
"Emerse Fae is in charge of the team and has already delivered remarkable success, guiding the nation to victory at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and securing qualification for the World Cup," Diallo told Flashscore.
"It is important that he continues building on this strong foundation, and as president of the federation, I will ensure that he receives the full backing required to succeed.
"He will be provided with the necessary resources and the right players to help the team perform at its highest level on the global stage.
"Our ambition is clear: to go as far as possible at the World Cup. However, we must remain humble, stay focused, and continue working hard to achieve our goals."
President Diallo expressed particular satisfaction with Ivory Coast’s emphatic victory over 2002 World Cup semi-finalists South Korea.
Nevertheless, he cautioned against getting carried away, stressing that the team remains a work in progress if they are to make a significant impact at the global showpiece.
"It was a very good opportunity for us to face one of the best teams in Asia. They are ranked 25th in the world, while we are 34th, so it was always going to be a tough game.
"We are still at the early stages of our preparation. That was a positive test, but we are not at our best yet. There is still a lot of work to be done, and we must keep pushing ourselves to improve.
"We are not getting ahead of ourselves. The focus now is to keep working hard and continue building step by step so we are fully ready when the World Cup commences."
When asked whether the results against South Korea and Scotland would bring relief to the people of Ivory Coast, who were left disappointed by the team’s showing in Morocco, he said: "For me, as president of the federation, you cannot be driven by people’s emotions. You must respect how fans feel, but above all, you have to stay focused on your work.
"In Morocco, we did what we could, gave our best effort, but we did not win the trophy.
"After that, the important thing was to analyse our performance and then make the necessary corrections to move forward.
"We are still learning and still working every day to improve the team. Our responsibility is to deliver the best possible results for the national team and, most importantly, for the people of Ivory Coast who support us with passion."
Before heading to the World Cup, Ivory Coast will face two-time world champions France on June 4th in Nantes.
The team has been drawn in Group E alongside Germany, Ecuador, and debutants Curacao. Fae’s men will open their campaign against Ecuador on June 14th at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
