Where is the 2026 World Cup Final being played?

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19, 2026.

Which city will host the most matches in 2026?

Dallas (Arlington) will host the highest number of matches, with 9 games scheduled at AT&T Stadium, including a semi-final.

Is the 2026 World Cup format different from 2022?

Yes. Instead of 8 groups of four, there will be 12 groups of four. A new knockout round, the round of 32, has been added, meaning teams must now play 8 games to win the trophy instead of 7.

Will fans have to travel across all three countries?

In an attempt to reduce travel, FIFA is grouping matches into three regions: Western (Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco Bay Arena, LA), Central (Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey, Houston, Dallas, and Kansas City), and Eastern (Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, and New Jersey).

In some cases, fans will need to cross international borders as early as the group stage to follow their teams. As the tournament progresses into the knockout rounds, cross-border travel will become even more likely, particularly for teams advancing to the USA-hosted quarter-finals and semi-finals.
