Dortmund aim dig at Man Utd and Ten Hag following Sancho's MOTM performance in UCL semifinal vs. PSG

Dortmund took on PSG yesterday in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal showdown, with Jadon Sancho, on loan from Manchester United, delivering a Man of the Match performance to guide his team to a 1-0 victory.

While Niclas Füllkrug scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute, all the plaudits when to the aforementioned Englishman following his mesmerizing display against the French champions, with the 24-year-old reminding the entire world of his talent.

And to no one's surprise, the focus quickly shifted to Manchester United and their manager Erik ten Hag after witnessing the brilliance of the player the Red Devils boss sent on exile to the Bundesliga. Even Dortmund joined in on the fun, with the German giants aiming a dig at Sancho's Premier League employers following his performance.

"You all owe him an apology, we were ALWAYS familiar with his game," the Bundesliga side wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Ten Hag is seen as the main culprit behind Sancho's departure, which should be made permanent this summer, with fans now criticizing that decision following Jadon's uptick in form since returning to BVB.

The player and manager suffered a public falling out after the Dutch manager called into question the Englishman's dedication in training following Manchester United's 3-1 loss at Arsenal earlier this season.

Sancho, who was not in the squad for that game, hit back at the Old Trafford boss on X and while he eventually took down his post, the player refused to apologize for his actions and was subsequently suspended from the first team.

While some will point to Sancho's tweet as the major catalyst behind his exile, the issue ultimately stemmed from the player's frustration over his lack of minutes. While the 24-year-old featured in the club's first three games of the Premier League campaign, Sancho made no starts, only coming off the bench before his fallout with Ten Hag.

Regardless, the Three Lions talent is back on the pitch and performing as his Dortmund team are only 90 minutes away from a UEFA Champions League final. Terzic's side will simply have to hold out at the Parc des Princes next week, which is easier said than done.
