AC Oulu 2-1 Jaro
Sunday's match to end the round saw AC Oulu take an expected three points at home to struggling Jaro, but fresh from their first win of the season, the away side certainly made the hosts work for the three points.
Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, Oulu took the lead 45 minutes after the restart when Julius Korkko got his head to a corner and the ball ricocheted off Juha Pirinen and bobbled in.
10 minutes later, Jaro had the chance to level when they won themselves a penalty, only for Herman Sjogrell's effort to be saved by Miguel Santos. However, from a corner moments later, Michael Ogungbaro nodded the deep set piece back across for Aron Bjonback to head in.
But parity lasted just three minutes - goalkeeper Senne Vits clumsily brought down Kalifa Jatta inside the area, and Rasmus Karjalainen showed how it was done by sending Vits the wrong way from the spot. That made it three wins on the spin for Oulu, and four losses in their last five for the 10th-placed side.
KuPS 1-1 Inter Turku
That win for Oulu puts them three points shy of leaders Inter Turku, as they were held at KuPS, who sit third, a point behind Oulu. Alie Conteh's goal nine minutes after half-time was cancelled out by Jaime Moreno just after the hour mark, as both sides made it five games unbeaten in the league.
Lahti 5-0 Ilves
Lahti put an end to four league games without a win in great style, thrashing an Ilves side they climbed above in the table. Amir Belabid scored twice before setting up Aaron Lindholm for the third in just the 17th minute. Erik Andersson missed a penalty midway through the first half, but made amends with another spot-kick shortly after the break, before the Lynx conceded another penalty, which Daniel Heikkinen had saved before he tucked away the rebound.
Gnistan 3-2 SJK
Sitting between Lahti and Ilves in eighth place are Gnistan, who earned a third win in five against SJK, who still just have one win all season. Olatoundji Tessilimi equalised late in the first half after Ayo Obileye's opener for Gnistan, but after the break, goals from Marcelo Costa and Gabriel Europaeus saw the hosts pull away before Eze Onuoha added what was no more than a consolation.
HJK 1-0 Mariehamn
SJK stay off the bottom thanks to HJK inflicting a second straight defeat on winless Mariehamn. An Alex Ring penalty within minutes of the second half getting underway was enough for a first win in four for HJK, who sit in fourth place but still nine points off the pace.
TPS 1-0 VPS
Goal difference still separates HJK and fifth-placed TPS, who ended a two-match losing run with a narrow win over VPS. Miikka Kauppila's header seven minutes from time was enough to win it, taking the Turku side above their opponents, whose five-game unbeaten streak came to an end.
