'Might request a morning match': French Open sensation Kouame stressed for PSG's UCL final

The 17-year-old Kouame has been the star of the French Open after becoming the youngest tennis player since 1989 to reach the third round of the clay Grand Slam. Kouame beat Adolfo Vallejo after 4 hours and 59 minutes on Thursday to continue his fairytale run in Paris.

In an interview with TNT Sports after his second-round match, Kouame, an avid Paris Saint-Germain fan, was asked what he'd do if his third-round match was scheduled at the same time as the UEFA Champions League final, in which PSG will face Arsenal on Saturday at 18.00 CET.

A stressed Kouame took a second to answer before coming up with a potential solution: "I might request a morning match, to be honest," he said.

"I really want to see the final. It's a big game for Paris Saint-Germain and for me as a Paris Saint-Germain fan. But in a way, I'm very confident, so if I play at the same time, I know the team will finish the job."

Kouame is set to face 36th-ranked Alejandro Tabilo in the third round of the French Open. Saturday's order of play will be announced later on Friday afternoon.
