Ligue 1 Match Day 27 - Preview, Broadcast and Live Streaming Info for March 29-31, 2024

The battle for the 2023-24 Ligue 1 title carries on this weekend as PSG try to add to their handsome lead at the top of the table. Luckily for Luis Enrique's men, their rivals were unable to cut their lead when they went winless in three games, and now that they are back on track, the French capital side seems destined to lift one more Ligue 1 title.

Speaking of those behind them, Brest dropped points last week, but their clash against the struggling Lorient could see them going back to winning ways. Meanwhile, Monaco will also face a tricky fixture away from home, when they get to face the also struggling Metz in a mix between teams fighting for the title and to avoid relegation.

Additionally, Lille, Lens, and Nice keep their race to finish fourth with only one point between them. Lille and Lens will lock horns against each other in what could be one of the best matches of the week, while Nice will try to take advantage of their match when they play at home against Nantes.

Here are the main things to keep in mind ahead of this weekend's matches.

League standings ahead of Matchday 26

[TABLE 10]

Top games to watch

Metz vs Monaco - The red and white team will travel to face one of the teams struggling to avoid relegation following a disappointing draw at home against Lorient. Monaco's chances of winning the title may seem slim at the moment, but their main goal right now would be to cement their spot among those that will be playing Champions League football next season, something that will only materialize if they win games. In the meantime, Metz are only one win away from leaving the drop zone, but with two wins in their last five games, winning a match against a title contender seems easier said than done.

Lorient vs Brest - The current runners-up dropped points in their last two games, and if they do not want to serve PSG the title on a silver platter, then they must claim a win against Lorient on Sunday. The hosts get to this match on the back of a late draw against Monaco, and while lightning can strike twice, Les Merlus will try to avoid such a finish this week and hope for a good result in front of their supporters.

[MATCH 4678892]

Olympique Marseille vs PSG - This version of Le Classique could make the history books for many reasons, starting with it being the last game of this type for Mbappé in Ligue 1 (if he ends up leaving). Next up, L'OM may be out of the title race due to the huge gap against Les Parisiens (20 points), but their chances of playing European football are still alive. With that in mind, it will be key for Aubameyang and Co. to win all the points in front of their fans, who will also be put to test after the recent incidents that have taken place in the last matches against their bitter rivals.
