Ligue 1 - Follow all Matchday 22 games including PSG vs Reims

The 2021-22 season in the French top-flight continues with everything to play for for all teams and with PSG enjoying a comfortable lead at the top of the table. While some might say that Les Parisiens are en route to claiming one more title, Pochettino's team should be wary of their rivals, especially about the one they will be facing this weekend.

There could be some of the finest games of the year taking place this weekend, especially with the one where Lens and Marseille lock horns at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. If fans want to go for a more popular option, then the clash where Lionel Messi and Co. will try to extend their lead against Reims will be one of their best options to watch this weekend.

Here is a general state of the competition as we face the 22nd week of action in Ligue 1.

Top five teams in Ligue 1 ahead of Matchday 22

As mentioned before, PSG are eleven points clear at the top of the standings. Hence, the title is now theirs to lose. To top it all, there are only five points between the second place and fifth-placed Rennes, which could result in quite a few permutations when this weekend's matches come to an end.

Top games to watch on Matchday 22 games in Ligue 1

Lens vs Olympique Marseille: The third-best team in the league enters this clash with the need of a win after only being able to claim three points in one of their last three matches. That streak has seen them fall to third, but they are still one victory away from the second spot. Hosting them will be Lens, one of the French sides still battling to enter European competition territory, and who would also benefit from getting three points in this clash.

Metz vs Nice: The current runners-up in Ligue 1 face one of those tricky games against a team battling to avoid relegation. The red and black club will travel to Metz's stadium with nothing but victory in their minds, and with the need of getting three points to avoid any surprises that could see them being leapfrogged by Marseille in the quest for second.

PSG vs Reims: Les Parisiens seem to be ready to crown themselves as champions with almost half the season to go, and to do that they will try to avoid any unpleasant moments, especially in front of their home crowd. This time, with Messi back and Mbappé still in doubt due to a muscular problem, Les Parisiens will be aiming to claim an emphatic win against one of the clubs located in the lower half of the standings and with a clear need to get points before relegation comes knocking on their door.
