Juventus-Torino kicks off Serie A MD 30: live streaming, kick-off times, TV listings

The upcoming round of fixtures will start with a derby - this time, it's the Derby di Torino (Turin Derby) - featuring league leaders Juventus and Torino. Elsewhere, Roma will hope to get back to winning ways after two bad results, but will face a tricky test against a Napoli side who will also be hoping to recover after Atalanta managed to snatch all three points earlier in the week. Roma's city rivals Lazio, meanwhile, will be hoping to still keep Juventus in their sights when they host a Milan team who have been slowly making up ground on the teams in the European football spots.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday 30 in Serie A.

Match of the round: Juventus - Torino

Fans will be treated to the latest edition of the Derby della Mole (Turin Derby) as Juventus take on city rivals Torino in matchday 30's first game on July 4th (which also happens to be Independence Day for Serie A fans based in the United States). Also known as the Derby di Torino, this game will really be nothing but a pride match for the two sides involved. La Vecchia Signora are again battling for another Scudetto, as they have done for much of the last decade, whie the Granata find themselves hoping to avoid another battle - relegation.

As things stand, Torino are not in danger of the drop just yet. But they do come into this match in a pretty awful patch of form, with just one win in their last five games and are presently on a two game losing streak. Presently in 15th spot with 31 points, the visiting side are just six points away from 18th-placed Lecce, meaning that another couple of bad results will definitely see them moving dangerously closer towards the unwanted drop zone. Unfortunately for them, their track record against their cross-town rivals is quite discouraging. Torino have won one of their last 20 league fixtures versus La Vecchia Signora - a 2-1 win in April 2015, while losing 16 times and managing a stalemate on only three occasions.

Meanwhile, Juventus come into this match sitting four points clear of Lazio on top of the table. Maurizio Sarri's side failed to successfully defend their Coppa Italia crown as they were beaten by his ex-side Napoli in the final last month, and now have turned their attention towards making sure they maintain their grip on the Scudetto. With Lazio facing a potentially tricky clash with AC Milan, Juventus will certainly do their best to make sure they're seven points clear of the Aquile prior to the capital club's clash later on Saturday.

Talking points ahead of matchday 30

Rome's downturn in form putting their Champions League - and possibly even Europa League - position under threat...

Roma have lost their last two games - to Milan, and most discouraging, struggling side Udinese. The Giallorossi will now be really concerned ahead of their upcoming showdown against Napoli, especially as the Partenopei will also be gunning for a win after seeing their five match winning streak snapped by Atalanta earlier this week. The Lupi, who sit in fifth spot, are now 12 points behind Atalanta, who have been given an even stronger grip on fourth thanks to their aforementioned victory against Napoli. Paulo Fonesca's side haven't given up hopes of sealing a top four spot, but that rapidly appears to be fading with Atalanta continuing to surge ahead, and now they'll be looking over their shoulders at the same Milan that beat them recently.

...as Milan continue to close the gap after Coppa Italia disappointment. But they face a tough test against another team that hail from the Eternal City

Despite their disappointing run in the Coppa Italia, Milan have rebounded well and have been slowly closing the gap between themselves and Roma. Napoli, thanks to having won the Coppa Italia are already guaranteed European football for next term, and although Milan are in seventh place, they're just five point behind Roma who have now hit a tough patch. That being said, the Diavolo next have to face Roma's cross-town rivals Lazio, who themselves will be gunning for all three points as they continue to try to keep Juventus in their sights.
